At La Estancia de Cafayate, we conceive luxury in perfect harmony with the environment. Our goal is to consolidate a genuinely sustainable community through conscious architectural guidelines, the active preservation of natural resources, and deep-rooted social engagement. We work day by day to establish a respectful model of coexistence that endures and transcends for future generations.
The water at La Estancia comes from deep artesian wells fed by high-mountain snowmelt, resulting in a perfect pH balance. We designed an integrated lake system that provides efficient irrigation for the golf course and the vineyards. Furthermore, this aquatic ecosystem has created a new natural habitat that now welcomes various bird species that were not previously spotted in the area.
Our roads were mapped out respecting the native flora to the greatest extent possible, keeping the roadsides intact to maintain a rustic and organic style. The gravel streets minimize environmental impact and are complemented by a low-voltage, low-density lighting system. This not only optimizes energy consumption but also preserves the purity and clarity of Cafayate’s breathtaking night sky.
Design and construction guidelines ensure the preservation of the landscape. Properties are built using natural, local materials, respecting height limits and color palettes that harmonize with the scenery. In addition, we promote landscaping with native flora to guarantee a conscious and reduced use of water resources.
