For a second consecutive year, La Estancia de Cafayate, along with MyT Eventos – a Salta based sports events planner, hosted its annual Golf Open. On Saturday, November 19, over 200 golfers from all over Argentina and even from Bolivia, gather at La Estancia de Cafayate with their friends and family to win a place in the top positions. Each player who participated in the tournament received a wooden box with 2 bottles of La Estancia de Cafayate wines as a gift.
The tournament offered 6 different categories – Men’s Scratch, Men’s 0-9, Men’s 10-16, Men’s 17-24, Men’s 25-36 and Women’s. The game mode was Medal Play and all 18 holes were played. The overall scratch player was a young man from Jujuy called Juan Manuel Soler. He has 0 handicap and he has won the Salta Golf Open several times before.
After the tournament was finished, all players, family and friends gathered at the Clubhouse for an Award Dinner that was prepared by the famous restaurant in José Ingacio, Uruguay, Parador La Huella. The menu included their classical dishes with sea food and organic vegetables followed by a very popular dulce de leche volcano. The awards were announced by a very famous Argentine presenter, Pancho Ibañez.
The overall feedback from all attendees was excellent where comments ranged from how beautiful La Estancia de Cafayate is to how well organized the tournament was to what a wonderful way to spend a weekend in such a magnificent setting. The Cafayate Open promises to be a classic Northern Argentina yearly event which is expected to grow more and more each year.
Por segundo año consecutivo, La Estancia de Cafayate, junto a MyT Eventos, fueron anfitriones del Abierto Anual de Golf. El sábado 19 de noviembre más de 200 golfistas de toda la Argentina y hasta de Bolivia, se reunieron en La Estancia de Cafayate con sus amigos y familiares para conseguir un lugar en las primeras posiciones. Cada jugador que participó del torneo se llevó de regalo una caja de madera con 2 botellas de vino de La Estancia de Cafayate.
Se jugó el torneo de 18 hoyos con modalidad Medal Play donde había 6 categorías distintas: Hombres Scratch, Hombres 0-9, Hombres 10-16, Hombres 17-24, Hombres 25-36 y Mujeres. El ganador de la categoría Scratch es un joven de Jujuy llamado Juan Manuel Soler. Juan Manuel tiene 0 de handicap y ya ha ganado algunos Abiertos de Salta y otros torneos.
Cuando terminó el torneo, todos los jugadores y sus acompañantes se juntaron en el Clubhouse para disfrutar de una cena de premiación preparada por el famoso restaurant de José Ignacio, Uruguay, Parador La Huella. El menú incluyó algunos de sus platos clásicos con mariscos y vegetales orgánicos y el muy popular volcán de dulce de leche de postre. Mientras, la entrega de premios fue conducida por el célebre locutor argentino, Pancho Ibañez.
Los comentarios generalizados de todos los participantes fue excelente donde dijeron qué espectacular es La Estancia de Cafayate, qué bien organizado que estaba el torneo y qué forma tan maravillosa de pasar un fin de semana en un lugar increíble. El Abierto de Cafayate se está perfilando a ser un clásico anual en el norte de Argentina y esperamos que siga creciendo año a año.
